Kgomotso was born and raised in Soweto and educated at Parktown Boys’ High School, Johannesburg. He read for a B.Ed. (Honours) at Wits University and later completed a PGDip at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business. He spent 15 years at Jeppe High School for Boys as Head of Department for History, housemaster, and then Deputy Headmaster responsible for discipline, leadership, and student affairs, as well as a stint in London teaching as a supply teacher in inner-city schools. Before joining Hilton College in 2020, he served as Senior Deputy Headmaster for three years at Southdowns College in Pretoria.
