The Fleur-de-Lys Club
Overlooking Hilton College’s main cricket oval, the club offers a great place to mingle with parents, staff and Old Hiltonians. Hilton Old Boys and parents of pupils are automatic members, and visitors are always welcome.
The Cape Dutch-style building includes a lounge with fireplace, an adjacent room, and a bar opening onto a large, covered veranda. Open year-round, the club hosts meetings, reunions, parties, and gatherings, as well as lunches and drinks during home sports fixtures. It is also available for wedding receptions and other special events. Booking is essential.
Theatre
The home of the annual Hilton Arts Festival, our 470-seater theatre boasts a rich history of showcasing world-class performances. It also hosts a wide range of musicals, dance and theatre productions all year round.
With its seating capacity and modern amenities, the Hilton College Theatre is the ideal conference venue. Enjoy ample parking, disabled access, top-of-the-line audiovisual equipment, reliable Wi-Fi, and a stunning foyer, perfect for networking with or without cocktails and canapes.
Music Centre
The Chamberlain Music Centre is a state-of-the-art facility, including a 120-seater recital hall, recording studio, and cutting-edge music lab. The 1340-square metre building boasts a foyer with a baby grand piano and other beautiful spaces ideal for hosting functions. Since its opening in late 2022, it has attracted a wealth of musical talent, including Grammy award-winning composer Cedric Samson and the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Nature Reserve
A vast 650 hectares, our reserve is home to giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, warthog, caracal, serval, jackal, several species of buck and about 300 species of birds.
Used by our boys at weekends, during their annual “journeys” and on courses to become junior wildlife guides, it’s also popular with birdwatchers, trail runners, and groups of learners from visiting schools. The Henley Lapa, on the banks of the uMngeni River, is equipped to host functions, day visitors and campers.
Chapel
Our chapel is consecrated as a place of worship and generally not available for booking, however if your wedding reception is being held at the Fleur-de-Lys Club you may be able to get married in the chapel. The chapel can also be used by Old Hiltonians getting married or for the hosting of a funeral.
