We live in a society where the jobs which most of our pupils will end up undertaking most probably don’t currently exist. One of the ways we can equip our boys for this uncertain future is to grow in them a passion for problem solving, working with people, thinking critically, evaluating information and presenting it in a way which ensures effective communication with others. Information technology helps to equip pupils in this regard and the assist each boy who takes the subject to reach his true potential as a pupil.
The areas of study in Information Technology course can be summarized by the following graphic:
Information Technology can only be taken by pupils who achieve 70% and above in both Mathematics and English. It is suggested that pupils who take the subject should remain in Core Mathematics through to Grade 12.
